Fischerhallen
Neue Alte Brücke 1

The Fischerhallen is a historic building complex on the banks of the Main in Frankfurt. Once used by local fishermen to dock and unload their boats and bring their catch to market, the halls have remained largely unused since then

A local initiative, making frankfurt and umweltexploratorium e.V., is now working to open the historic site to the public and explore new uses for the space. As part of this process, we were given access to the halls to explore the site and prepare my upcoming group exhibition, UNTITLED II.

This photographic series documents the Fischerhallen during this transitional moment — before their next chapter has fully begun.
